DigiChambers: Federation of
Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belgium

The purpose of this project is the development of an application for the online document, the Certificate of Origin. This document can be used by entrepreneurs, DigiChambers co-workers, Chamber of Commerce co-workers and the co-workers of the Federal Government. The website allows the entrepreneurs to electronically fill, sign, submit and print the Certificate of Origin.

D Soft chose a tailor made approach because it connects much more with the needs and wishes of this project. The objectives of this application are:

• a full control of the process from start to end, namely from registration to the issuing of the Certificate of Origin;
• protection against fraud and manipulation of the configuration and/or client information data;
• emphasising the control of the content by the Chambers.

How does it work?

In order to export goods to a foreign country, the exporter must obtain a certificate of origin issued by the Chamber of Commerce. Using this application, you will have to complete a form with information about the sender, receiver, country of origin, the goods, … on the website. When you have filled in the CO request, it has to be signed and submitted to the Chamber of Commerce for approval. After approval you can print out the approved CO and send it, together with the goods, to the destination.
